4.1) The Company’s purpose is to:
a) analyze, study, plan, design, assess the environmental impact, carry out and manage works, test, construct, maintain and manage infrastructures and other works of public interest, as well as technical and administrative support activities.
b) manage and provide the services of captation, distribution, collection and treatment of water for any use and all related activities. In particular, the Company can undertake the following activities:
- studies, research, investigations and surveys;
- promotion, valorization and marketing;
- technical, economic, and management feasibility studies;
- laboratory and specialist analysis;
- planning, design, works management and construction;
- iinstallation, transformation, extension and maintenance of works, systems and distribution networks in general;
- providing services;
- invoicing and billing, also using telematic instruments;
- customer satisfaction initiatives;
- assistance and consultancy on the above topics.
c) Study, design, construction and works management related to both surface and underground water resources for which the participating bodies are responsible, as well as the works required to protect, enhance and regenerate such resources.
4.2) As a "Type B Inspection Body", the Company may also inspect designs, products, services, processes, civil systems and verify the compliance with specific requirements, in particular in the following areas:
- buildings, general civil engineering works and corresponding installation engineering works, environment monitoring, conservation and landscape engineering;
- industrial civil systems engineering;
- building products, components and services
and for the following activities:
a)inspections of the designs pursuant to the laws in force for public procurement contracts and/or other applicable laws;
b)inspection of execution of works;
c)inspection of building products and components;
d)inspection of services (work management, tests, etc.).
These inspections may involve technical, economical and/or financial aspects and are conducted in compliance with the requirements of independence and impartiality.
All the above activities comply with the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020 standards, with the ACCREDIA (Italian Accreditation System) standards and with the public procurement regulations in force.
4.3) The Company can undertake all operations aimed at pursuing the Company's purpose. The Company shall not engage in the activities reserved to banks, investment companies, savings management companies and, more generally, those reserved to the companies indicated in the Banking Consolidation Act and the Financial Brokers Consolidation Act.
4.4)The Company operates within the limits set by the EU principles on fair market competition and the limits set by the Italian legal system.
