Metropolitana Milanese has obtained ICMQ Certification N° 09250 of 24.06.2009 (in terms of the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standard) that authorizes it to audit and inspect preliminary, final, and executive designs for a value of up to €20 million, for the purposes of the relevant audit in terms of the Italian Legislative Decree 163/2006.
Metropolitana Milanese has also been accredited as a type B Inspection Body in terms of the UNI CEI EN 17020 standard (2005) authorizing it to audit and inspect preliminary, final, and executive designs regardless of the works value, for the purposes of the relevant auditing terms of the Italian Law.
MM is the first and only Milan Municipality Company and the first and only public company in Lombardy and Northern Italy to have achieved this accreditation, applicable in the entire European Union.
This accreditation allows MM to act as an independent body in validating projects within the civil construction, general civil engineering works, civil systems, environment monitoring and conservation and landscape engineering at any level, in terms of the technical, economic and financial aspects and regardless of their total value.
The accreditation covers the in-house developed design work, that done by outsourced professionals on MM’s behalf, and any design “done by the Organization to which it belongs or the organizations linked to it by corporate ties", i.e. by the Milan Municipality and its companies.
